Mobile Food Program

Over the past year The Tinervin Famliy Foundation has been doing monthly mobile food distributions with the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington/Normal and Woodhill Towers. Most recently in the summer of 2019 we began a monthly hand out at Wesley United Church.  For the past several months we have started doing monthly food distributions in Champaign with the Healthy Beginnings program.  Starting in January 2020, we will be distributing monthly food boxes to the Boys and Girls Club in Champaign, IL. At each distribution we hand out approximately 150-200 food boxes. Food boxes include a variety of healthy foods including pastas, canned vegetables and meats, snacks, soups, peanut butter, cereal, beverages and more.  In addition to those items, the Midwest Food Bank donates bread, pasteries, fruits and vegetables.

At the Boys and Girls Club many families benefit and look foward to receiving this food.  Woodhill Towers has been a great benefit for the residents and they have proivded us with awesome feedback about recieving food baskets. We are looking forward to our new partnerships with Wesley United Church and Healthy Beginings. We will continue these monthly events at  on an on-going basis.
